Some would say "quirky", but John was unique and that's what I truly loved about him. He was always ready to listen and offer advice and never took himself too seriously.

As Cress added, he loved a music night more than anything. Both Michelle and I enjoyed this with him on many occasions when we got together. 

Starting 30 years ago when I got to know my then "boss" we soon became life long friends and will never forget him.

A truly brave and unique person who we will always cherish memories of. RIP Johnny Boy.
